Sugariness In Addition To Sour Fish 茄汁鱼
Black pomfret, is the usual fish of selection for nigh of my friends’ mothers to brand this dish, and nosotros usually call it, Tomato Sauce Fish (Keh Jup Yue). Malaysian style is done with a hint of chili inwards it. One of my favourite childhood dishes.
I used sole (ikan sebelah, or jor hou yue-left mouth fish) for this. It goes wonderfully well with this method of cooking.
Sweet and Sour Fish Recipe
i piece of sole (abt the size of my palm)
½ tsp common salt
ane Tbsp corn starch
½ loving cup cooking rock oil
ane ruby-red onion (halved together with sliced)
1 blood-red chili (seeded as well as cut into strips)

two Tbsp chili sauce (maggi type)
one Tbsp saccharide
1/three tsp common salt

one. Run knife across the trunk of fish to create cuts into flesh, but non through the os.
two. Marinate fish with salt for ten minutes.
iii. Rub cornstarch onto fish.
4. Heat oil inward wok too pan nestling fish until gilded. Dish upwards.
5. Discard some of the crude in addition to retain nearly 1-two tbsp of rock oil.
